Tracey-Mae Chambers

Tracey-Mae Chambers is a Canadian visual artist residing in southern Ontario. Chambers creates and develops work comprised of encaustic vessels and sculptures. Encaustic is an ancient art form. Chambers uses melted beeswax mixed with Damar resin to strengthen the wax and pigment to color it. The hot liquid mixture is then painted onto a
porous surface and sculpted into a vessel.

She was recently honored with the Partnership Award for the United Nations Environmental awards celebrating 30 years since the Montreal Protocol was implemented.  This award was presented to five international recipients. Along with several of her sculptures, one further sculpture was placed on permanent display at the United Nations Environmental Headquarters in Nairobi in November 2017 in Montreal Canada.
